Vestibular Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation

Specialist assessment and treatment for dizziness, vertigo and balance problems — helping you move with greater confidence.

Dizziness, vertigo and balance problems can have a significant impact on your confidence, independence and everyday life. Vestibular physiotherapy can help identify the underlying cause of your symptoms and provide targeted treatment and rehabilitation to help you move with greater confidence.

Conditions We Assess and Treat

  • Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) – episodes of vertigo triggered by changes in head position.
  • Ménière's disease – vestibular symptoms associated with conditions affecting the inner ear.
  • Visual vertigo – dizziness or unsteadiness triggered by busy visual environments, movement or complex surroundings.
  • Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD) – persistent dizziness or unsteadiness that can be influenced by movement, standing or visually stimulating environments.
  • Balance and vestibular dysfunction – difficulties with balance, spatial awareness and confidence when moving.

Vestibular Rehabilitation

Where appropriate, we use vestibular rehabilitation as part of your treatment. This is an individualised programme of exercises designed around your symptoms, assessment findings and goals. Treatment may include:

  • Gaze stabilisation exercises
  • Habituation exercises
  • Balance and postural training
  • Movement retraining
  • Exercises to improve confidence with everyday activities

The aim is not simply to manage your symptoms — it is to help you understand what is happening, regain confidence in movement and return to the activities that matter to you.
